Rongxi Peng received his Ph.D. in Human Geography from Peking University (successive master–doctoral program) and joined the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Chongqing University as Associate Professor in July 2024. His research concerns population migration and urbanization as well as rural development and planning, combining quantitative analyses of regional patterns with spatial planning at the county scale. His work has appeared in journals including Land, Urban Studies, Acta Geographica Sinica, and Geographical Research.
